The weeks are flying by at light speed these days. 18, 19...now onto the 20 week (halfway!) mark seem to have zipped by with travels and apartment organizing, etc. To know that we are amost over the hump, to know that nursery furniture will need to be ordered soon, to know that when the fall season hits so very soon, the holidays are just around the corner as will be the arrival of this bubba :)
I can't stop thinking about it. In just 5 days we find out if this little one is a boy or a girl! Dare I say this anticipation is better than all the days of Christmas season combined? It's been almost 2mo since we've seen him/her in an ultrasound and the excitement over seeing their little limbs kicking and how their heart has grown just freezes me in a state of absolute wonder. We stare longingly some nights at those string of ultrasound pics from the 12 week scan. He/She already looks like Lee :) The angles of the face and chin, I just can tell! A few days ago while cabbing it to TriBeCa, we sped past St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital where I will deliver. A wave of happy chills goosed my skin and I can't believe that some day in early December we will be racing over there, me in the throws of labor, about to deliver our baby. Those series of steps, the grand entrance, the bright yet sterile feel of the lobby...it is hard to wrap my head around what it will become to us that day. A memory that will be a woven so intensely into our collective marriage memory.
