Until soon...or maybe not soon...or maybe I'll be back in a week and this will all be very silly ;)
We're going to be taking a brief blogging hiatus here. Over the past month, things (in a good way) seem to be settling in for us around here. While there are a number of changes on the horizon with a (hopefully soon) move, work picking up, spring/summer travels, etc...I am mostly just feeling a chunk of contement and a need to check out from the documenting of it all. The pressure to write is never why I started this in the first place, it was of a need to get those creative juices flowing that I missed so much and in the past 11 months, this site was such a positive outlet for me. But right now, it's a bit forced. It feels contrived of me to sit down and breakdown the day to days. You know the old lesson "actions speak louder than words"? I'm on the action side right now and happy to just be present and continue to find my step as I soon will leave my 28th year behind and enter the last year of my 20s.
Until soon...or maybe not soon...or maybe I'll be back in a week and this will all be very silly ;)

Happy Birthday, Jackson!! You may be the super wicked smart philosophy guy of our Kernion crew, but to me, your title as "brother" will always be most important. You are the only one Eliz and I have got! I gush over your accomplishments at Hahhhh-vahd but moreso about the young man you have become.
Thanks for always answering my MacBook questions... For always taking the pullout bed on family vacations... For always making me proud. Love you! There are a few websites that all brides-to-be scour for inspiration and StyleMePretty is one of the top. The attention to detail in the weddings they display are simply flawless and full of individual flair.
Linds and I did a little dance in her apartment the night we found out their wedding was selected;) And today, it all came into being! Check it out here. Congrats, Linds & Bri! What a way to relive the whole day.... It goes without saying that the moment I touchdown in Pittsburgh, all that's on my mind tends to dissapate and I'm engulfed by the comforts of home. Home even equals the smell (I know, who am I?) of the Pittsburgh International Airport which seriously takes me back everytime I deboard a flight. It was time with my parents spent solo which is a rare blessing. A Loafers lunch. A pop in to the Wexford wine & spirits and not getting carded (damnit.) It was an long overdue evening spent in Mt. Lebo for a dinner party at SKr's childhood home + a savory meal with her parents and family friends. It was hours and hours scattered intermittently of CBA updates and presentation details. It was an afternoon of wine tasting and presents galore with women showering SEP with love (two months and counting!). It was an evening with old friends at Jax's house where (I always say this) conversation lasts until 330am and can jump from "ooo how do you make that salad dressing" to "wait, rewind, he said WHAT?" about relationship dynamics and the like in the same breath and sentence. It was flying back with SKr on Sunday and pretending we're sisters and swapping seats to sit next to each other and having the travel time whiz by in a snap.
It simply all flew by too fast. Not enough pictures to tell the story. But these shall suffice ;) |
