Lee and I have been waiting for this concert to come back to NYC for over 3yrs now. John Williams, arguably the most successful American composer and genius behind the orchestral arrangements of Star Wars, Jurassic Park, ET, Superman, Indiana Jones...and well, the list goes on...conducted the NY Pops orchestra for a one night only affair. (ps: I think one of his *absolute bests* was Home Alone.) Cocktails overlooking Central Park + "A Night at the Movies" at Lincoln Center with our other fav married folk couples was a heck of a good Tuesday. I sometimes buy things soley because they remind me of home. And the Steelers. And maybe even my high school colors. But mostly just Pittsburgh. This skirt + consignment store find = nobrainer ;) I'm making the rounds testing out all the juicerias of the city to find my fav. Everyone's palate is so different and the last time I tried Liquiteria I was no where near able to gag down the green juices. This morning I gave it another whirl and loved it. Very "creamy" for being an all-greens blend. So far my rankings are: Organic Ave (fresh factor is huge for me on this one), Liquiteria, Terri Organic. This gal to the left (toddler Elizabeth, in the "Elizabeth Dress" and all her sass!) is getting married this weekend (!!!) I. cannot. contain. my. excitement. As I started mentally packing for the trip last night I had a laugh over what my suitcase would contain: one Tinkerbell costume, a Rent the Runway bridesmaid dress, one pair of heels, workout clothes (for the Kernion vs Clegg fam football game, natch), and maybe one travel outfit. And that's it. Amazing. And NEXT week....it's off to Arizona for the Downing-Fletcher wedding extravaganza. We're not sure when we'll be back in the southwest again so we're packing it to the brim with side excursions and activities! So far our plans include hiking Camelback Mtn(photo) + day trip to Sedona + moutain biking + all the welcome party events + the wedding of our dear friends. Sold.
