The Connecticut lakeside home was built by Linds' great-grandfather and through the generations has been a loved location for family to gather...and where grandkids learned to fish, ski and scramble down along "Candy Beach." Simple and quaint, it feels like the house was actually built by memories. You can tell the living room was once packed with the chatter and tiny voices of little kids organizing themselves to put on a play with their parents watching below:)
For us, this weekend was one to relax. To have the biggest worry be how to prepare the sweet corn for dinner. To boat during the day and sit on the dock chatting for hours in the evening. To figure out the initial speed needed to get a waterskiier out of the water (the answer: gun it.) To enjoy an afternoon nap in the sun. And to take in the silence and see some stars. Done and done.
