Full term! We are inching very close along the timeline. Pregnancy is very long...I remember looking at this timeline back in late April and being blown away by how many milestones and markers we had to achieve and check off. And look at that, 2 weeks away from full term and the end in sight.

34.5wk random check in: We're in the phase of pregnancy where baby girl is putting on the chunk...half a pound a week or so! Distinguishingly more belly on me than last week.
(I suppose the French toast I had just now should help add some ounces on her little thighs too!) I've promised this for weeks now! Final touches on the bookshelves completed this morning after my sweet friend Samantha (THANK YOU x millllllion) lent her interior design eye to style our built-ins just perfectly with our books, photos, and trinkets galore + also aided me in so many ways from picking out the right morrocan pouf to baskets and more. I knew I wanted a nursery that was far different than anything I'd seen in a baby catalog and different than any other room in our NYC pad. Something that didnt scream bubble-gum girly pink and also something that, because of the french doors that open to our living room, didn't seem overtly BABY. I scrubbed websites for weeks and finally landed on an inspiration board provided by Joni from Lay Baby Lay. I cant say enough good things about this blog...Joni gives an array of modern baby rooms and the best part? She links those pieces that make each nursery so unique for you to purchase in one single click. It gave me such confidance in piecing together Baby M's room as the critical pieces I loved were able to be ordered through online stores. So here we are! Baby Markle's NYC nursery! I hope she loves it. (Lee thinks it looks like a delicious bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream with pink sprinkles;) PS: Mamas to be! Let me know if you want the links to any of the items below. All of the ETSY prints were under $20 :) *Well, I officially cannot tie my shoes. I mean I can but it takes a strategic positioning of my body to bend down enough to do so.
*The looks I get at the gym are hilarious. Muscle-y men move out of my way when they see my massive bump and sometimes I even get a half smile. I kindof like the exercise cred! *The term "happy charging" has been overheard numerous times this week. *My write-in vote for the election on Tuesday is going to be Bill Clinton-Chris Christie. *Hotel Markle has been a full service operation this week housing SoPo ("south of power") manhattanite friends. I've loved it. I know it's an inconvenience for them, but I've enjoyed the extra hours of friend time that we've been able to log:) *When is it the right time to wash all the baby clothes? I'm thinking soon but not too soon. *Baby M, what will you look like? How big will you be? I'm thinking you may have blue eyes + your Dad's lips and chin. A total cutie. And maybe a peanut! Aiming for a 7lb little lady. Just a guess. *FRIDAY :) |
