I have an unreasonably high degree of anticipation for doing the following to/with Morgan: giving her a wedge of a lemon (haha!), tasting ice cream/chocolate/cake, and playing at the beach.

Yesterday, we (sortof) checked off the last one by dipping Morgan's toes into the ocean at Siesta Key beach here in Sarasota. We went just before sunset and although the clouds had rolled in for the day, we loved showing our little one the talcum powder white sand and blue waves this shore provides. She was a bit skeptical at first but humored us as the tiny waves splashed on her feet and onto her jeggings...and boy did she LOVE everything about the sea breeze on her little face.

Many more of these kinds of beach adventures to come down the road. I only hope Morgan finds the ocean and sand as calming and relaxing as Lee & I do. A place to be reflective as you stand at the water's edge...a haven for fun and family memories just waiting to be made.
